Our Austrian-born Chef, Michael Gollenz, who leads the kitchen at the world-class Alfred Keller Restaurant at Boutique Hotel Alhambra on Lošinj Island, has built his culinary reputation on French cooking techniques and a strong commitment to using local ingredients. Over the past three years living on the island, Chef Gollenz has established close relationships with local producers and fishermen, while also discovering native wild herbs, olive oils, and wines. These elements form the foundation of two of his tasting menus: the three-course Signature and the four-course Innovation, both expertly paired with wines.

Alfred Keller’s cuisine highlights the purity of each ingredient, blending masterful techniques with Chef Gollenz’s creative vision, a combination that has earned the restaurant a 1* Michelin rating and 16.5 Gault&Millau points. Additionally, Chef Gollenz was awarded the Gault&Millau Croatia Trophy for “Great Chef of Tomorrow” in 2022.
