Silvana gained her first housekeeping experience on cruise ships of the company “Radisson seven seas”. In 6 years she stayed with the company, she worked her way through the ranks from being Stewardess, then Night supervisor to Assistant Housekeeper.
In 2006 she joined Le Meridien Lav hotel, the first 5-star hotel in the wider Split area and a part of the largest international hotel chain – Marriott International. Initially as Assistant Housekeeper, and as of 2010 as the Executive Housekeeper.
She is responsible for creating and implementing internal and corporate cleanliness hotel standards. In her daily tasks, she pays particular attention to the training, development and motivation of the members of her department as she sees this as the key to successfully building a strong team that can cope with the challenges of hotel industry nowadays. Among other responsibilities, Silvana, as the Executive Housekeeper, is in charge of selecting employees, setting, monitoring and achieving the operational and financial goals of the department and quality control. She is actively interacting with guests, paying attention to their experience and enhancing satisfaction of their stay.
